06Oct2004 Crown Prince Abdullah receives British Foreign Secretary

Riyadh, 6th October 2004

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, today received at his estate in Al-Janadria on the outskirts of Riyadh British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the Minister conveyed to the Crown Prince the greetings of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, Prince Charles of Wales and Prime Minister Tony Blair. Crown Prince Abdullah sent his greetings to the British leadership.

Crown Prince Abdullah and Jack Straw reviewed recent developments in the international and regional arena, and aspects of cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister and his accompanying delegation were then invited to take lunch with Crown Prince Abdullah.

The audience and lunch were attended by Prince Badr bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Commander of the National Guard; Prince Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States; Prince Mit’eb bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Deputy Commander of the National Guard for Military Affairs; Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi Ambassador to Italy; Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saud, Advisor at the Crown Prince’s Court; Prince Fahd bin Badr bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region; Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Advisor at the Crown Prince's Court; Prince Mansour bin Nassir bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Ambassador Plenipotentiary at the Saudi embassy in the United States; Prince Abdul Aziz bin Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz; Dr Nizar bin Obeid Madani; and the British Ambassador to the Kingdom Sherard Coles.
