Russia today welcomed Saudi Arabia’s initiative to convene an international conference on combating terrorism, scheduled to take place in Riyadh in February 2005.
In a statement carried by Itar-Tass news agency, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov said that terrorism is an international phenomenon that threatens the security and stability of the entire world, and action against it should be orchestrated by joint efforts of the international community.
