Saudi Health Minister Dr Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane’ and his Pakistani counterpart Nasir Khan today conducted talks in Islamabad. The Ministers decided to boost cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the health sector.
Addressing a joint press conference Islamabad Health Ministry headquarters, Al-Mane’ said that his talks with the Pakistani Health Minister focused on means of strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas of the health sector.
“Saudi Arabia would like to benefit from Pakistan’s experience in pharmaceuticals, training for doctors and nurses, medical technology, production of vaccines, medical research and education, and many additional aspects of the health sector,” Al-Mane’ said. He added that the number of Pakistani doctors in Saudi Arabia is increasing as a result of enhanced cooperation between the two countries. Saudi Arabia is already importing high quality medicines from Pakistan, he noted.
Pakistan’s Health Minister said that there was tremendous scope for expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
