15Aug2004 Civil Service Council reformed

Riyadh, 15th August 2004

A Royal order was issued for reforming the Civil Service Council for a period of three years. The Prime Minister will be the Council’s Chairman, and the Deputy Premier will be the Council’s Deputy Chairman.

Members of the Council will include: the Ministers of Civil Service, Finance, Health, Commerce and Industry, Economy and Planning; Dr Mutlab Al-Nafeesa, Member of Cabinet and Minister of State; Madani bin Abdul-Kadir Elaki, former Cabinet Member and Minister of State; and Director of King Khaled University Dr Abdullah Al-Rashid.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Civil Service, Mohammed Ali Al-Fayez, said that the membership of Finance Minister Dr Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Health Minister Dr Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mani was renewed, both of whom were members of the former Council which ended its term on 11/4/1425H. Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Hashim Yamani and Minister of Economy and Planning Khalid Al-Quseibi were appointed to the new Council. The membership of Dr Mutlab Al-Nafeesa, Member of Cabinet and Minister of State, was also renewed. Dr Madani bin Abdel-Kadir Elaki, former Cabinet Member and Minister of State, and Director of King Khalid University Dr Abdullah Al-Rashid were appointed to the new reformed Council, not having served on the Council previously.
