An official source at the Interior Ministry announced that the militant shot in Makkah was Abdulrahman bin Obaid Allah Al-Harbi, a Saudi national.
Al-Harbi was wanted by Saudi security authorities for his involvement in extremist activities, particularly the making of explosives.
Al-Harbi was found in the Khaldiyah apartment in Makkah, which was stormed by security forces on 14/4/1424H. Al-Harbi was one of those who fired at security guards of Al-Mohaya compound before militants drove a car loaded with explosives into the compound last Ramadan. He also participated in moving two cars rigged with explosives that were discovered by security forces near Al-Rimh province.
