13Aug2004 Beheading of Sudanese national convicted of murder

Hail, Saudi Arabia, 13th August 2004

The Interior Ministry announced that Bashiri Ali Abdrab Arrasool Ahmad, a Sudanese National, was beheaded in Hail on Friday after being convicted of killing Munawer bin Nuwar bin Muneer Al-Ba’air Al-Otaibi, a Saudi National, who died as a result of several stab wounds.

The culprit was convicted by the Shariah Court, and the verdict was approved by the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council.

The statement reiterated the determination of the Saudi government to ensure law and order and severely to punish criminals.
