09May2004 Saudi/British relations; and tourism in the Kingdom

Riyadh, 9 May 2004

Prince Sultan bin Salman, the Secretary General of the Higher Commission for Tourism, has praised the strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Britain. Following a meeting with British businessmen here Saturday evening, Prince Sultan noted that Britain was among the first countries that the Commission studied [to benefit from] its experiences in tourism, and [it had also benefited from] the support extended to this sector in the Kingdom by a number of British experts.

He disclosed that this year the commission will conduct, in cooperation with the governorates of the Kingdom, a number of tourism programs and activities which will focus on Saudi tourists,
