04Apr2004 Agreement for global transmission of Saudi television channels signed

Riyadh, 4th April 2004

The Minister of Culture and Information Dr Fouad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsy today signed an agreement with Director General of Arab Satellite Communications Organization (ARABSAT) Engineer Khalid Balkhayour. In accordance with the agreement, Saudi Television’s Channel 1 and 2 and two associated radio programs will join an ARABSAT band that covers the entire world.

The agreement reflects the great support offered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince and Second Deputy Premier to development of Saudi media.
