29Mar2004 KACST official opens national workshop on Paris and Bern accords

Riyadh, 29th March 2004

President of King Abdul Aziz City for Sciences and Technology (KACST), Dr Saleh Bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Athel, on Monday inaugurated a national workshop on the Paris Accord for Protection of Industrial Property and the Bern Accord for Protection of Literary Works and Arts.

The workshop was organized by KACST in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Geneva-based International Organization for Intellectual Property.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahmoud Muntasir, Representative of the International Organization for Intellectual Property, said that admission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Paris Accord for Protection of Industrial Property and Bern Accord for Protection of Literary Works and Arts, reflects the significant attention accorded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the accords.
