Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, today held a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
During the meeting, they discussed recent developments in the region, particularly in Palestine and Iraq, and in Islamic and international arenas, and reviewed the means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Miteb bin Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs; Prince Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz, the Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister; and Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz, the Vice-Governor of Riyadh Region.
On the Syrian side, the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Farouq Al-Shara, Syria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, Dr Ahmed Nizamuddin and other officials.
