The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Awadh Asseri today called for significant expansion of trade and economic ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Addressing a select gathering at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ambassador said that there has been considerable economic cooperation at governmental levels, encouraging cooperation in the private sector in order to promote a speedy expansion of bilateral economic relations.
Asseri said that, with political and investment security, Pakistan remains a good place for Saudi investment. He also urged Pakistani businessmen to invest in Saudi Arabia, where new regulations have been issued to facilitate investment opportunities, stressing the need for Pakistani businessmen to cooperate with their Saudi counterparts. He also called for the establishment of joint ventures between the two countries.
The Saudi Ambassador emphasized the importance of the exchange of visits between Saudi and Pakistani officials and businessmen to boost relations in all fields. Asseri suggested that Saudi and Pakistani businessmen be encouraged to participate in exhibitions in the two countries.
