The Minister of Higher Education, Dr Khaled Al-Anqari, on Saturday opened the fifth cultural week of GCC universities and higher education institutions, which is to be hosted by King Saud University.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Fahd Al-Musnad, Dean of the Students Affairs at King Saud University, said that the cultural week will include cultural contests and various other activities.
Dr Hassan Al-Mazurka, Head of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) University delegation, praised the literary and cultural contributions of writers and intellectuals in member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Dr Al-Anqari inaugurated an exhibition organized on the fringes of the cultural week, which displays drawings prepared by artists of GCC universities and higher education institutions.
Universities from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman are participating in the cultural week.
