The Minister of Higher Education, Dr Khalid Al-Anqari, will on Saturday 28 February inaugurate the fifth cultural week of universities and institutions of higher education in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
Activities of the cultural week, to be hosted by the Riyadh-based Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University, include contests of the Holy Quran, Sunnah (teachings of the Prophet, peace be upon him) and poetry, and cultural, social and scientific programs. A formative arts show will be organized on the fringes of the cultural week.
Seven Saudi universities and teachers’ training colleges, in addition to the University of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait University, the Arab Gulf University of Bahrain and Sultan Qaboos University of Oman will participate in the cultural week.
