Saudi Television will on Tuesday begin transmission of a video information channel in Arabic for twelve hours per day, from 2.00am to 2.00pm.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Culture and Information, Dr Fouad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsy, said that establishment of the information channel is due to the continual support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier.
Al-Farsy said that the channel will present distinguished news, cultural, technical and sports items, and reflect technological and information developments.
