17Feb2004 Saudi hospital achieves international recognition

Riyadh, 17th February 2004

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh received accreditation certification from the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME).

”The AACME certificate testifies international recognition for KFSH/RC’s standard of continuous CME quality and delivery and commitment to serve the community in Saudi Arabia and in the Middle East,” Abdullah Al-Arifi, Association Executive Director of Continuing Medical Education Department of KFSH/RC Academic and Training Affairs, said in a press statement that was published today by Saudi Gazette. He said that AACME accreditation of KFSH signifies that the hospital has adopted advanced patient healthcare. Such a certification will help develop patients’ confidence in KFSH healthcare services.

The AACME, international accreditation body has so far issued certifications to 17,000 healthcare organizations in the world.
