21Jan2004 Saudi Royal Air Force plane crashes, killing two crew members

Riyadh, 21st January 2004

An official source at the Ministry of Defence and Aviation told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that a Saudi Royal Air Force F-15 plane crashed on Wednesday morning (9/11/1424 AH) during a training flight at King Abdul Aziz Air Base in the Eastern Region.

The crew consisted of Weapons Operator Flight-Major Nasser Bin Abdulrahman Al-Rasheed and Flight-Captain Sultan Bin Turki Al-Furm, who were killed in the crash.

Investigations are currently underway to determine the causes of the crash.
