Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Developmental Organizations (AGFUND) and United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Special Envoy for Water, announced a donation by AGFUND of $1 million on the occasion of the end of the International Year of Fresh Water, it was reported here today.
UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura praised Prince Talal’s contribution to the international organization.
