17Jan2004 International trade fair opens in Dhahran

Dammam, 17th January 2004

Over 180 companies and corporations from the Arabian Gulf, Middle East and Asia are participating in the 6th Annual International Trade Fair, which opens later today at the headquarters of Dhahran International Exhibition Company.

The foreign companies attending the event will showcase their products, services and technology, hoping to conclude joint venture agreements with local companies in the field of manufacturing and distribution of their products, said Osama H. Al-Rashed, Public Relations Director of Dhahran Exhibition Company. Al-Rashed said that this year’s trade exhibition will be the biggest ever. Last year 60 foreign companies participated in the trade fair. He said the largest number of companies participating are from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, followed by China, Iran, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Malaysia and Indonesia.
