15Jan2004 Saudi relief aid for Palestinian hospitals

Riyadh, 15th January 2004

A relief caravan, comprising 30 ambulance vehicles and trucks loaded with medical equipment and appliances, left Riyadh today for Rafah, a Palestinian post on the Egyptian border. The relief caravan, worth SR3,065,693, is designed to meet the needs of Emergency Units at Palestinian hospitals.

Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, gave directives for the Saudi Committee for Relief of the Palestinian People, in his capacity as General Supervisor of the Committee, to send urgent assistance to Palestinian hospitals.
