14Jan2004 Saudi Embassy and consulates facilitate services for Egyptian pilgrims

Cairo, 14th January 2004

The Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Ibrahim bin Saad Al-Ibrahim, affirmed that the Saudi Embassy and its three consulates in Egypt are exerting their utmost efforts to serve Egyptian pilgrims, in accordance with directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, to do everything possible within the Kingdom and abroad to boost services for pilgrims.

Al-Ibrahim said that Egypt’s quota for pilgrims this year was organised by collaboration with three ministries: the Ministry of Interior, Tourism and Social Affairs. “Hajj visas for Egyptians are not valid unless they have been issued by one of the Kingdom’s three consulates in Egypt,” he added. Al-Ibrahim stressed the importance of the required medical vaccinations to protect the health and welfare of pilgrims against contagious or epidemic diseases.
