The British Foreign Office announced today that the fifth British Hajj delegation will leave for Makkah on 21 January.
The delegation, led by the Muslim Member of British House of Lords, Adam Patel, includes eight doctors and a number of Muslim counsellors, and will be joined in Saudi Arabia by staff from the Consulate General in Jeddah. The Delegation will provide consular, medical and counselling assistance to the 20,000 British pilgrims expected to perform Hajj this year.
The British Hajj mission represents an exemplary cooperation between the British Government, the Saudi Government, and the British Muslim Community. The delegation wished British pilgrims a successful and enjoyable journey and a safe return.
