12Jan2004 Group of Iraqi refugees depart Saudi Arabia

Rafha, Saudi Arabia, 12th January 2004

190 Iraqi refugees today departed the Kingdom after spending 13 years in exile in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The caravan of five buses and eleven trucks, carrying the fifteenth group of Iraqis to leave the Kingdom and their possessions, crossed Al-Rukee border post to Kuwait on their route to their homeland.

Representatives of the United Nations Commission for Refugee Affairs and the International Alliance Forces will receive the Iraqis when they arrive in Iraq.
