07Jan2004 Prince Naif speaks on outcome of Arab Interior Ministers' meeting

Riyadh, 7th January 2004

Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, who yesterday returned to the Kingdom after attending a meeting of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis, expressed his appreciation to Tunisian President Zine Al-Abdine bin Ali for supporting the Council’s works and mission. Prince Naif is also Honorary Chairman of the Council.

In a statement following a meeting with Tunisian President bin Ali on Tuesday morning in Tunis, Prince Naif said he had briefed the Tunisian President on the outcome of the meeting of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, which concluded its deliberations in the Tunisian capital on Monday.

Prince Naif said that the Council is concerned to guarantee the security of the Arab nation. “I have reassured President bin Ali about the situation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and thanked him for his concern and support. Bin Ali is one of the pillars of the Arab world,” he said.
