01Jan2004 8th Saudi relief plane leaves for Iran

Riyadh, 1 January, 2004

The 8th Saudi relief plane left Riyadh Airport today, carrying more than 26 tons of equipment and materials for the Saudi field hospital in Bam, south-eastern Iran. This gesture came in response to the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard to help the victims of the powerful earthquake which hit Iran last Friday.
