13Dec2003 Heart surgery centre donated by Prince Sultan opened

Riyadh, 13th December 2003

Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev yesterday opened the most advanced centre for heart surgery in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.

The centre was donated by Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation, Inspector General, and Higher President of Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Charity Foundation, as a gift to the new capital, Astana, and the people of Kazakhstan.

The twenty-six-bed centre covers 4,000 a square-metre area, while the grounds total 11,400 square-metres.
