A source at the Interior Ministry said that Saudi security forces have located and arrested a key suspect involved in the terrorist bombing at the Al-Muhayya residential compound in Riyadh. The identity of the suspect will not be disclosed while further investigations are pending.
The terrorist was apprehended on Wednesday 27 November 2003. Upon searching his hideout, security officials found an SA-7 missile, 10 RBG-22 system, 200 hand-grenades, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, 890 capsules of electrical explosives, 38,400 kilograms of RDX explosive material, 1,390 kilograms of other explosive materials, 6 explosive mobile sets, 80 Klashinkov machine guns, 168,000 bullets, 410 machinegun cases, 40 wireless devices, 3 computers, magnetized discs, SR94,395 in cash, papers, various identity cards, and leaflets inciting terrorist attacks.
Investigations and search operations are currently underway, in order to locate all those who have links to the terrorist cell, the source said, stressing the determination of the Kingdom to root out anyone who threatens the security of citizens and residents of the country by engaging in any terrorist activities or sheltering suspects.
