01Dec2003 Prince Sultan conveys Eid greetings to Armed Forces in Northern Region

Hafr Al-Baten, Saudi Arabia, 1st December 2003

Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, today conveyed Eid Al-Fitr greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, who is also Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, to personnel of the Armed Forces in the Northern Region and to the Peninsula Shield Force.

Prince Sultan was accompanied by Prince Bandar bin Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, and other princes. Commander of the Northern Region Major General Abboud Nafie Al-Harbi and a number of senior officers and officials received the guests when they arrived at the venue.

A speech ceremony was held on the occasion. Prince Sultan then graced a luncheon party held in his honour.

Earlier today, Prince Sultan visited Hafr Al-Baten, as part of his tour to convey Eid Al-Fitr greetings to Armed Forces personnel in various regions.

At King Khalid Military City Airport, Prince Sultan was received by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, other officials, and a number of dignitaries and citizens.
