01Nov2003 Prince Sultan hails progress of Saudi Arabian Airlines

Jeddah, 1st November 2003

Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, lauded the progress and achievements of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA).

In a cable of reply to SAA Director General, Dr Khaled Bin Bakr, Prince Sultan, who is also Chairman of SAA’s Board of Directors, praised SAA for achieving the license of the European Aviation Federal Commission for Maintenance of Aircrafts and their Equipment.

In his cable to Prince Sultan, Dr Bakr said that the technical team of the European Federal Aviation Commission had lauded the maintenance capabilities of SAA at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

Dr Bakr noted that SAA, which obtained the license of the European Federal Aviation Commission, would be capable of extending integrated maintenance services to aircraft of European aviation

companies. “This development will earn SAA a great reputation among the world’s largest aviation companies.”
