The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has laid more than 228 kilometres of high-voltage cable and 238 kilometres of low-voltage cable to support the current comprehensive electricity network in Madinah Region. This is part of efforts to provide the best possible services for pilgrims and visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
The Executive President of SEC, Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Qadi, said that the total number of subsidiary power stations has reached 15 with a capacity of 110 KVs (Kilo volts), and 8 with a capacity of 33 KVs. “There are now 430 medium power-generation turbine networks and 522 new electricity distribution stations in different parts of Madinah Region.”
Qadi added that 154 employees and technicians took part in executing the operation project for Madinah Region.
