Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, who is also Chairman of the Manpower Council, today received Head of the Board of Directors of the International Labour Organization, Lord Bright, accompanied by Dr Samir Ridhwan, Advisor to the Organization’s Director General for Arab Affairs.
Prince Naif spoke about the Kingdom’s system of labour organisation, according to the teachings of Islam, as a way of life that preserves labourers’ rights and provides job opportunities for all.
The Prince also explained the Kingdom’s generous support for Palestinians in all fields, and prayed to Almighty Allah to save the Palestinian people from Israel’s brutal terrorism and desire for hegemony.
For his part, Lord Bright praised the Kingdom’s support of the Organization’s ‘Fund for Work and Social Protection in Palestine’. The Kingdom donated $500,000 to the Fund for training and employment.
He also expressed his thanks to, and appreciation of, the Kingdom for its concern for children, including its care to prevent children working at camel races.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Dr Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Namlah, and other officials.
