The Shoura Council held a meeting presided over by its Chairman, Sheikh Dr Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid, in which it decided to apply Saudization regulations to companies working in the Kingdom, and those owned by Saudi Aramco or implementing its projects.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session today, Secretary General of the Council, Dr Homood bin Abdul Aziz Al-Badr, said that the Council also approved the application of Saudization regulations to private companies working on Aramco projects, adding that the results of this application will be included in annual performance reports submitted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Dr Al-Badr added that the Council endorsed opening the gas sector to competition between Saudi and international companies in order to promote the best services in the interests of the Kingdom.
