The Kingdom’s delegation to Yemen, led by the Minister of Industry and Electricity, Dr Hashem Abdullah Yamani, today signed the minutes of the second meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee of the Saudi-Yemeni Coordination Council.
The Yemeni Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Ahmad Salem Al-Jabali, led the Yemeni side.
The minutes of the meeting included an in-depth review of all steps that have been accomplished in the sphere of development projects, which have been funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) in the fields of electricity, roads, technical education and vocational training.
The two sides stressed the potential value of a “land and sea transport accord”, as carriers in both countries will benefit from the facilities offered under this agreement.
The two sides also decided to find solutions regarding the affairs of expatriates and foreign workers in both countries, according to agreements signed earlier.
They agreed that the third meeting for the Committee would be held in Riyadh, the date of which remains to be decided.
