Saudi Aramco has prepared and equipped 100 wells of non-associated gas in the southern working site, adding 850 million regular cubic feet per day to the Kingdom’s gas production.
The company noted that the achievement comes within the framework of the development of gas producing fields in the Kingdom.
The achievement was accomplished using a method of breaking the producing layer by very high hydraulic pressure. It was executed in three years, which constitutes one third of the period usually required for such actions in these sites. The cost of the project was, therefore, reduced by 35%, the company pointed out.
