04Jan2003 Saudi Committee distributes copies of the Holy Quran

Riyadh, 4th January 2003

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz approved the request of Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of The Interior, who is also General Supervisor of the Saudi Committee for Relief of the Afghan people, to provide Afghani mosques, schools and universities with 500,000 copies of the Holy Quran, printed by the Madinah-based King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran.

Prince Naif stressed the need of the Afghan people for copies of the Holy Quran in mosques and academic institutions.

Implementing the King’s directives, Committee offices began to distribute these copies.
